With the birth of Bill Dane on the internet.
I have slowly evolved - changed important ingredients
of my photography - picture making processes.
This includes: a digital camera - computer editing -
printing company - and relationships with traditional
institutions for the presentation and sale of pictures.
Since 1969 I have made sold and gifted pictures.
This was done in various forms.
Hindsight shows the lack of a desirable consistency.
Fraenkel Gallery and Jack Fischer Gallery have
presented and sold pictures of mine over time.
I am changing to a new form for recording the sale of my pictures.
The 'overview' of that process is outlined below. (see 3-7-11)
Pictures purchased before this year 2011 will become 'Special Pictures'.
I understand that this is my declaration and definition.
They are most certainly a class of 'Vintage Print'
and in the traditional sense of the classification.
There should be little confusion about the 'status' of these pictures.
They will be easily identified and differentiated from pictures sold after 2010.
They should have a unique value.
I am sorry if this causes any person grief.

Today a woman gets up on me at 6th St. n Mission.
Hammered - get's up into me - grinning - grabs my crotch.
I hold her shoulders - ask her how in the world
I'm supposed to get money out with her lodged into me.
She smiles like crazy... I hold her away at 6 inches.
Get coin while she lifts her shirt and zooms in to minus 1 inch.

Nick and I spend hours . weeks ..(and since '07).
It's our latest "Bill Dane on the internet." makeover-binge.
He doesn't know the story of me driving boxes full of
negatives and bad prints to the recycling center.
Thrashing around in the dumpster. trashing it all.
I can't deal with the burden of:
Some year I'll be responsible for sorting out this history.
So.. I (over) simplify.
All my pictures are out there.
All the photo postcards I have mailed since 1969.
Nothing is really lost.
