We played our asses off constantly w/o much supervision.

Like lots of kids in the '40s - '50s. 

Started working at about day-one = self-care.

Gardening + 'caring' for my frightened parent-mother. 

(1 week mommy had measles - in the dark - I did meals + beck n calls.)

While the funky-father used the merchant marines. 

A 'relatively-safe' WWII  3-year-escape from his family fears. 

At 10 yrs yardwork for neighbors + family-connection odd-jobs.

Delivering drugs w/car at 16 and thru hi sch & PCC. 

Army at 18 = 3 years of pretty-much work.

PCC w/jobs ... UCB w/jobs ... BA & Ma w/jobs ... teaching credential w/jobs ...

Berkeley Schools '66 - '98 = pretty-much work.

'63 to '70  I painted pictures constantly while pretty-much 'working' at BHS. 

'69-'70  started taking pictures while teaching-'working'. 

Nancy & I connected in '80 (!& I've always been 15 years older than Nancy).

Nancy works her ass off = Jobs-U.C.Doctorate-writes Book-Does Twins-me.

Berkeley Schools - taught & w/med benefits '66 til 2003 - incl twins meds.

2004 Edie died - we made her inheritance Nancy's retirement fund.

We live in the house that Edie underwrote = Nancy's & M&E's now.

Cant recall being out-of-work.  

In-Love  - retired -  guilty  - sad  - elated  - medicated  - ejaculated  - small, oh-dear 

Not-working  = !never.

I simply gotta comprehend that 'art-work' + life  is difficult to digest/consume.
